Introduction
This Website is a mainly pictorial record of a 5 day Holiday in Mid Wales organised by Great Rail Journeys and based in Llandrindod Wells Spa. On Day 1 we travelled by road from home in Towcester via Leominster where we stopped for lunch. Staying at the 4 star Metropole Hotel on Day 2 we visited The Talyllyn Railway and Llandovery. On Day 3 we visited The Elan Valley, The Vale of Rheidol Railway and Aberystwyth. On Day 4 we visited Powis Castle & Gardens before taking a trip on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Ralway. On Day 5 we departed from Llandrindod after breakfast and travelled home via Ludlow and SVR Bewdley.
